Considered to be one of the top marketing communications minds in Central Iowa, there is very little Dave Sanderson hasn't been involved in ... or taught as an adjunct professor.
Dave Sanderson is one of the top marketing communications professionals in Iowa, specializing in strategy, planning, and managing the execution of marketing communications. Dave knows traditional, digital, and emerging technologies and how they fit together to best meet communications goals in the most efficient way possible.
Dave started out on the client side, so knows what you are looking for and the issues you deal with every day. He was recruited to the account service side of Wesley Day Advertising, one of the pioneer agencies in the state, early in his career. He quickly became President and CEO of the agency, continuing to handle key accounts in addition to managing all aspects of the agency.
After recently selling Wesley Day to a larger agency and helping transition certain clients, Dave founded Marketing Café, which allows for a smarter, more nimble approach to marketing communications in today’s world. As a charter member of The Roundtable Group, a consortium of highly skilled communications specialists, Marketing Café is able to involve the very best people in the very best way for each project. Providing maximum impact, dramatically increasing efficiency, and doing communications in a way that all organizations will require in the future.
Dave not only knows marketing communications. He teaches marketing communications and management courses at the college level. Currently at Simpson College, where he is an adjunct faculty member holding the highest rank an adjunct can achieve. Dave is also a past president of AAF – Des Moines (formerly Advertising Professionals of Des Moines), a Silver Medal Award winner (the highest local award available, presented to one individual each year), has judged many communications competitions, and has been guest speaker at a variety of clubs, events, colleges, and universities.
Dave currently lives southeast of Des Moines, Iowa, where he is best known for his computer-controlled Christmas light displays (www.TheSandersonFamilyChristmas.com). He is an active pilot (as is his wife), and a not so active Certified Scuba Diver, Extra Class (highest available) Radio Amateur, and a host of other interests, organizations, and activities.
